SIMULTANEOUSLY CHECK:
How it Works
The T-3 sends a swept-frequency signal to the transducer. The
current to the attached transducer is monitored and compared to the
internally generated signal in the T-3. When the transducer
element vibrates at a resonant point, a phase change occurs. This is
detected and lights one of eight indicators, depending on the
frequency. If none of the indicators light, the transducer is bad.
Using the T-3
Connect a multi-sensor transducer to the 8-pin connector. Turn the
power on, rotate the RES knob, and check for proper transducer
activity. A leakage test is automatically done, lighting an indicator
if water has penetrated the transducer or wiring. Temperature data from
the transducer's thermistor is accurately read by rotating the TEMP
knob to the point where the indicator LED changes color. A speed
indicator flashes when the paddle wheel is rotated. Both Hall effect
and reed switches are tested correctly. Quickly test multi-sensor
transducers with one simple instrument on the spot, and determine if
the trouble is in the display or transducer. Standard transducers are
easily checked for resonance and leakage using the XDCR jack.
Test cable (for XDCR jack) and battery included!
